Personal Statement

During high school I dove into computer science and built a solid foundation in programming, data structures, and algorithms. What began as curiosity turned into a real interest—each year I picked up new concepts, tackled harder problems, and shipped small projects that solved practical issues.

Outside class I spent summers on hands-on personal projects that taught me more than any textbook. I started by hosting game servers for friends and gaming on my PC because I didn’t have access to consoles, which pushed me to learn Windows administration, system configuration, networking, and a range of development tools. Those personal projects, combined with four years of coursework, gave me practical experience across several languages and modern tools. I enjoy taking messy problems and turning them into clean, efficient solutions.

What sets me apart is how quickly I learn and adapt. I pick up new languages and frameworks as needed, and I’m comfortable jumping into unfamiliar domains to get things done. Over time I’ve learned that the most valuable skill isn’t memorizing specific tools—it’s being able to break problems down, learn what’s required, and deliver reliable results.
